A campaign can send visitors to exactly the product and checkout combination your normal checks do not exercise. A discount changes the basket total, a promoted item needs a different shipping method, or a new landing page directs shoppers through a custom flow. Readiness means testing the actual offer, not only checking that the homepage loads.

RevenueGuard can provide recurring observation of a configured purchase path during a campaign. A broader preparation checklist covers offer rules, payment completion and operational ownership beyond that one path.

Write down the campaign journey

Start with the landing page, promoted product, expected price, coupon if applicable, target shipping region and intended payment options. Follow the path from the same link a campaign visitor will use. Confirm that the product is published, available and represented accurately.

Check a guest session as well as any customer state the offer depends on. If the promotion is restricted to logged-in members or a particular customer group, record that as separate coverage; the current RevenueGuard browser journey is configured around guest checkout.

Test the basket at important boundaries

Try the intended quantity and a nearby quantity. If a promotion or delivery rule depends on a total, test below and above the relevant boundary. Confirm that the visible calculation matches the offer you advertised.

A monitoring pass does not by itself validate coupon economics or every price calculation. Keep expected results in a small worksheet so that someone other than the person who configured the sale can review them.

Check shipping and payment availability

Use representative destinations for the campaign audience, especially if the promotion reaches a new region. Confirm that the intended method appears for the promoted basket. Review edge cases involving excluded products or delivery areas separately.

Then verify the expected payment option. If checkout loads but payment choices never appear, investigate that stage before increasing traffic. The shipping checklist and gateway checklist provide focused investigation paths.

Review mobile use and dynamic pages

Open the campaign journey on a real phone where practical. Look for overlays covering the add-to-cart action, difficult address fields and unclear validation. A desktop layout reduced to a narrow viewport does not cover every device interaction.

Optimization changes made for the sale should preserve customer-specific cart and checkout behavior. WooCommerce documents excluding Cart, Checkout and My Account from page caching in its cache configuration guidance. Retest the buying path after cache or script changes instead of judging the result only by homepage speed.

Verify the stages monitoring does not cover

Use an appropriate provider test environment to check payment completion and the resulting order flow. Review any campaign-specific fulfillment or notification process separately. RevenueGuard’s scheduled browser journey stops before placing an order and does not verify a charge or delivery.

If a payment test is performed against production under business authorization, keep its accounting and cleanup explicit. Do not let routine monitoring create live orders as a side effect.

Assign a campaign responder

Decide who will review alerts, who can fix the store and who can pause the campaign if the buying path fails. Give them access to the relevant evidence before launch. A support address without an owner is not an incident response plan.

Confirm the monitoring scenario, notification preferences and latest successful result. Hourly checks are periodic observations, not instant detection. A campaign with unusual traffic or commercial risk may need additional human checks and independent operational measures.

Close the loop after the campaign

When the offer ends, restore the normal monitoring scenario if it changed. Review incidents and any unexpected order patterns. Preserve the checklist that worked, along with the gaps you found.

The next promotion then starts with a tested operating routine. Read the monitoring guide to decide which recurring path should remain in place between campaigns.
